Abu Simbel & the Story of Ramesses II

Join Free: singlesbythebaytravel.com This is arguably a great wonder of the world and it was so awesome getting to go inside. Our singles travel club wrapped up our adventure to Egypt with great day at Abu Simbel. The temple was built into a huge sandstone wall commemorating the life of the Great Ramesses II and his famous queen Nefertari. It was built in the 13th centure BC and became famous upon its re-discovery in 1813. Abu Simbel was made history again during its famous relocation and reconstruction to prevent its destruction when the Aswan High Dam was built.
