Waipi?o” means “curved water” in Hawaiin and the name stems from the curved beach formed in between two massive cliffs. During heavy rains waterfalls come down on the cliffs here. It’s beautiful and the video of course does not do it justice. Waipio Valley on the Big Island of Hawaii is so beautiful that many early Hawaiin Kings chose it as there capital and home base.
